Hackensack is a City (New Jersey) in Bergen County, New Jersey County, New Jersey, United States and the county seat of Bergen County, New Jersey County. Although informally called Hackensack, it was officially named New Barbadoes Township, Bergen County, New Jersey (Historical) Barbadoes Township until 1921.
